Colleen began her career in mortgage underwriting, which means she spent years on the side of the desk that says no to bad files. That foundation is the reason she rarely has to. She knows what makes a loan fundable before it is ever submitted — and she knows how to talk to underwriters because she used to be one. That experience is also why the State of California has recognized her as a CalHFA Lending Hero — an honor reserved for the small group of California loan officers who have closed the highest volume of CalHFA first mortgages, helping low- and moderate-income families access the down payment assistance programs designed for them. Her name is listed on the State's official lender page at calhfa.ca.gov.
She is also a CalFHA-certified, FHA Direct Endorsement-certified loan officer, and an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and the California Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB).
